multi band radio.

excellant radio as I expect from sportsmans guide.

SUPERB!! Excellent field/survival radio

I’ve always kept a radio in my pack for in the field…breaks up boredom and re-reading the same dang book over and over again on deployment. after recent snow hit us (and with a 3 year anniversary coming up) I wanted to create a survival kit for my better half. Bought this radio to be part of the kit. VERY VERY VERY pleased with how clear the sound quality is, how LOUD the speaker is (without turning it up all the way) and how well built it was. I put it through some ‘abusive’ tests to replicate field conditions (pack thrown around/bouncing round in a truck, covered it with sand to replicate blowing/dusty conditions, and sprayed with water to replicate rain [not recommended per instructions] and it performed FLAWLESSLY and i wish i could post a video here to show it) and all I can say is it did well on all bands including weather band from within my bomb/tornado shelter in my back yard. This was an excellent buy and I highly recommend it… It does charge your phone if you’re willing to do some work yourself (turn the dynamo crank) as i tried it and after 45 minutes it had a decent charge on my iPhone 7 that had 1% battery at beginning of the charge test. Buy it and you won’t be disappointed…and remember if you have a problem, 1. check what you’re doing with product. 2. give SG a call and get a replacement (occasionally bad stuff slips through) and lastly 3. give SG a call again as they want you happy. I’m glad this is in my fiancé’s survival kit and know it will keep her calm until I can get to her if something happens.

Seems better than my other one

Seems to be a great product. Handle works well for charging the rechargeable battery. Solar cells will be slow though. Sound quality and reception are superior to my previous Eaton radio. Didn’t come with an AC charger but they’re common, and two I have already work well.

Great price

works as advertised, once i got everything hooked up and charged up. the USB cable should be part of the package or offered as a SHOULD HAVE item. went to STAPLES. took a couple of days. radio fits my desk space just fine.

Excellent Value

It is like the swiss army knife of radios. Multiple bands, crank, solar or batteries for power, and even outlets. What is not to like.

Very versitle radio!!!!

I have one for the Model A. It uses 6 VDC. And now I have one for the truck. Very virsitile radio.

Great emergency tool

This is just what it claims to be. An emergency radio. It doesn’t have an AC adaptor and doesn’t need it. It works very well for its’ intended purpose. It picks up weak signals without attendant static and outside noise. The solar charger is not much more than a gimmick as it doesn’t charge well. All in all I am very happy with it.

Look and sound…

Awsome radio, good clear sound, 7 weather bands, 4 different other bands, AM,FM, short wave band 1, short wave band 2. I encourage you to read the little owners manual that comes with it to get maximum benefits of this radio and for charging directions. you will not be dissapointed.

Works Good

We’d been needing a weather radio so we could keep informed when the weather turns bad. This radio works very well for that.

It works

I have several of these and they work as described. I use it for camping and also keep one in the truck. The grandkids will get one for XMAS. They are a compact size and fit in a backpack if you need one for the trail. Interesting listening around the campfire if you got nothing to do.

Great Radio

Got this radio for a present for my oldest son. He wanted a portable radio to take in his boat when he goes out fishing. I got one a couple months ago,and works good.Got a better price on his than mine though. I’m not griping though! Ha ha.

Great Radio!

Great radio to have in case of emergencies. It can be solar powered, crank powered, battery back up, or plugged in to wall (Although the wall charger does not come with the unit). It has a phone charging port too! This can charge a phone if your power goes out! It has an emergency lights (red and white) on it too! We’ve had ours for 3 years and just acquired a new one for our car!

Great Product
